One of the main goals of Asexual Explorations is to promote further research on asexuality. Ideas for future research are suggested. One possible direction of future research is discouraged.

Research Agenda. Possible studies are proposed for a number of disciplines, including psychology, sociology--including quantitative qualitative approaches--as well education and disciplines that seek to understand sexuality from historical/cultural perspectives.

Disadvised Research. While there are a variety of potential lines of research on asexuality, there is one type of research that has been proposed that I recommend not doing: phallometry. I hope to dissuade anyone interested in conducing such a study from doing so. I argue against it on practical and methodological grounds.
